RTP/SIGGRAPH Presents:
NC Research Triangle SIGGRAPH
Chapter Meeting, The 2004 Animation Theater
Wednesday, November 17th
Each year, the annual SIGGRAPH conference includes
one internationally recognized showcase of the best computer graphics
achievements from around the world, the Animation Theater.
This Animation Theater contains a selection of many
juried works from a voluminous 635 submissions. The pieces were selected
based on extremely high standards of creative and technical excellence.
The Electronic Theater is the world's most prestigious
film and video extravaganza, showcasing dazzling and innovative imagery
in invited and submitted works selected by a distinguished jury of computer
graphics experts and specialists. The works selected for this year's
Computer Animation Festival take us on a remarkable journey that combines
the talent and brilliance of the current and future trends in art and
science with the very best imagery depicting comedy, drama, romance,
action, adventure, fantasy, science fiction,and science fact. Always
a highlight, the Animation Theater melds art with the latest trends
in hardcore computing. It's the place to spot future trends in films
and commercials.

DIRECTIONS
From Raleigh, Downtown:
· Take US 1 North and Capital Boulevard) and continue on US 1 North
for 10 miles, until you see a green NCDOT sign noting "Wake Forest"
· Turn left at the stop light, across from the Wakefield Ford dealership
(dealership is on the right)
· This is New Falls of the Neuse Rd, proceed approximately 1 mile
· Turn left onto Wakefield Crossings Drive
· The School is on the left at 3000 Wakefield Crossing Drive (just before
Kerr Drugs & Cafe)
From Durham (Highway 70 East or 40 East):
· Take I-540 East to the Capital Boulevard Exit
· Go North on Capital and US 1 for approximately 5 miles · Turn left
at the stop light, across from the Wakefield Ford dealership (dealership
is on the right)
· This is New Falls of the Neuse Rd, proceed approximately 1 mile ·
Turn left onto Wakefield Crossings Drive
· The School is on the left at 3000 Wakefield Crossing Drive (just before
Kerr Drugs & Cafe)
From Henderson (US 1 South):
· Follow US 1 South across Hwy 98 & pass Target Super Center
· Turn right at the stop light, across from the Wakefield Ford dealership
(dealership is on the left)
· This is New Falls of the Neuse Rd, proceed approximately 1 mile
· Turn left onto Wakefield Crossings Drive
· The School is on the left at 3000 Wakefield Crossing Drive (just before
Kerr Drugs & Cafe)
From Wendell, Zebulon, Wilson, Rocky Mount (Highway 64 West):
· Exit right onto I-440 Outer Beltline (just beyond Tower Shopping Center
on right)
· Stay on I-440 North for approximately 3 miles
· Take EXIT 11B (US 1 North and Capital Boulevard) and continue on US
1 North for 10 miles
· Turn left at the stop light, across from the Wakefield Ford dealership
(dealership is on the right)
· This is New Falls of the Neuse Rd, proceed approximately 1 mile
· Turn left onto Wakefield Crossings Drive
· The School is on the left at 3000 Wakefield Crossing Drive (just before

From Kinston, Goldsboro, Clayton (US 70 West):
· EXIT onto I-40 West (Raleigh)
· Approximately 4 miles on I-40 West, take EXIT 301 (Outer Beltline/I-440
North)
· Stay on I-440 Outer/North for approximately 6 miles · Take EXIT 11B
(US 1 North and Capital Boulevard) and continue on US 1 North for 10
miles
· Turn left at the stop light, across from the Wakefield Ford dealership
(dealership is on the right)
· This is New Falls of the Neuse Rd, proceed approximately 1 mile
· Turn left onto Wakefield Crossings Drive
